I have a border collie around 18 mos or so(adopted him as a stray. we had the perfect living arrangement for him…land and my fiance and i to care/train him. My fiance passed away 2 months after adopting him, now the dog and i are in greenville sc in a small townhouse. doing everything possible to socialize and entertain him, BUT need some prof. training. he is becomming overly protective of me when someone comes to the door. he launched after someone last week. :( he also has issues with bikes, skateboards and golf carts-assuming this is part of his herding instinct. i love him more than anything in the world and will do anything to keep him healthy and happy. he travels everywhere with me and gets plenty of socialization w/people & other dogs. even has a dog sitter(they have a dog too) who watches him while i work. any suggestions or guidance would be greatly appreciated! he expresses most bc characteristics, except he’s pretty laid back. Thanks for your help!
