Is it legal to drive a golf cart on the public streets?

I live about 3 blocks from my work, and gas prices really suck! I was really considering driving my golf cart to work! I’m all about saving! May look dumb, but sure would help. Can I drive a golf cart on city streets? Is it legal?
I have an EZGO, and yes…it does have headlights, taillights, and a horn!

      Absolutely not… it has no headlights,,tail lights..brake lights…turn signals…seat belts…doors… etc etc etc…. If you try ,,you will be pulled over. And if its only 3 blocks…why not walk??
