In California, do golf carts have to have license plates to be driven on the streets?
July 24th, 2010 | by admin |Travis! asked:
I’m thinking about getting a golf cart sometime, and I was wondering what was required for it to be legal to be driven on the street? Does it need a license plate? A set of laws/requirements would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
edit: if anyone can provide me with links for information, that would be very helpful. thank you!

A golf cart is not considered a motor vehicle. Therefore they are not to be driven on city streets.
