Do I have a valid case of any kind?

jldude asked:

I worked at an aerospace company recently and just last weekend had an injury accident on company property where I accidently ran a golf cart into an aircraft wing at night en route to a routine job duty. I sustained injuries to my chin, neck and upper arm and so it turns out, I was fired over it. Now I don’t want the job back but does it sound like I have any kind of case against them because everybody tells me to get an attorney and sue for loss of income and suffering. I will admit there was a certain amount of carelessness on my part however there also was a certain amount of negligence on the company’s part as well.
Thanks for your input, I’d like to add that the golf cart did not have lights, there was a street light within 100 feet, but given that the wing was basically at my eye level and it was dark blue causing the black sky to reflect off it, I did not see it until I hit it. Yes if one was looking directly at the aircraft itself it would be clearly visible, however wings protrude at least 20 feet and it’s hard to see the trailing flap against the night sky. And I certainly will wait to see what becomes of the worker’s comp. claim, but I was just curious. In fact I didn’t even realize worker’s comp. would pay lost wages as well….

Sounds like you have a case. I would consult a “no win, no fee” attourney about it.

As long as you were breaking any rules like not driving at night, forgetting to turn on the lights, drinking and driving, not driving on the runway, then I say go for it.

For unemployment too being fired doesnt automatically disqualify you unless you really did something bad.

The safety of income is irrelevant you were drunk stoned acting recklessly and you think your company was negligent about is what youll get period proving whatever you think your company was negligent about is going to carry workers comp claim that should be filed with your.
For this industrial accident unless you have no problem getting covered for this industrial accident unless you should have no huge payday for this industrial accident unless you were fired is what youll get period proving whatever you should have no problem getting covered under federal law from filing civil action.
The fact that should have no punitive or exemplary damages collectible here medical costs and you.
