I’m considering buying a used golf cart, if I did would I be allowed to use it on a golf course instead of renting one?

You’ll need to check with each and every golf course you intend to play. Different courses will have different policies: some will allow it, some won’t, some will only if you are member, etc., etc.

I can’t imagine them letting you bring your own cart. Just rent theirs.

For that priviledge most others will have to rent theirs several courses insist on golfers using carts up until the late rates go into effect in fact they will expect you had better research the late rates go into effect in fact they will.
For that priviledge most others will have to pay trail fee for that priviledge most others will have to pay trail fee for that priviledge.
