OK now I know that a 12 volt golf cart motor runs on 36 volts,And I don’t know the torqueas of yet very little I do know that much And I would like the motor to run at app 500 rpm If that is possible without gear reduction. To wire a timer so the motor turns on and off, the wiring part is still a mystery.

a 12 volt motor does NOT run on 36 volts,, no way…what you may be seeing is 3 12 volt batterys in series…making 12 v but adding more amps..
get a 12v rheostat [[sort of a variable control to dial speed up/down]
try any Electric parts house…golf cart shop no gear reduction needed
get 12v timer at same place…also try a RV place…campers have 12v systems.
