Gregg Hall asked:

There are no limits to the number of things you can buy for golfing. You could spend a lot of money on things you may never even use, although you might have not had the thought of passing up all those useless items. Why not just save your money and get something that will help you out on the course? A custom golf cart raises the bar, and is arguably the best golf accessory money can buy. It may not seem easy, but if you keep reading you will know why it is the most helpful tool out there on the course.

Golf carts are almost always needed on every type of course. If you are going to be playing on a huge course soon, you will always need a golf cart to get you from hole to hole while still carrying all your equipment. You can rent golf carts from mostly any golf course, but why rent one every time you got golfing when you can just buy and save all your money instead of wasting it on rentals? It is much better because you can pick out any type or size you want, and allows you to customize it any way you want in the future. The choices for custom golf carts far exceed the limits you have with rentals, and you can get a pretty fancy cart going on.

The size of the golf cart can be different depending on what you get. It is possible to get one that is just an oversized go-kart. Although it will only hold you and your clubs, but it will be inexpensive and very good on gas. Though if you play golf regularly then a bigger cart may be for you. The power of the cart is also very important. If the cart is fully loaded down and moving at a steady pace, will you immediately start to slide backwards when moving up a hill? This is very important factor, with the hilly nature of golf courses. With most golf cart manufactures you will not have much to be worried about, especially if you stay with brands that are well known.

With a cart of your own, you can begin to make the ride more enjoyable to yourself and your friends around you, much the same way you would with a new car. You can install a sound system if you want to enjoy some tunes in between courses. If you are good with electronics like that, you could install a regular car sound system in the golf cart without too much trouble. Just imagine being the only one on the golf course who is able to crank out music as loud as a concert.

If you are interested in putting together a custom golf cart, you can either customize it yourself, or you can contact a golf cart manufacturer. You can do mostly anything to your golf cart. Anywhere from sound systems to rims to custom paint jobs basically anything you can think of to make it custom to your likes. If you get sick of the one you customized sell it and start another golf cart project. I can assure you that customizing your golf cart won’t go unnoticed. You might even be the only one around with a customized golf cart on the golf course, so go out there and start customizing your golf cart today before you think of something else to waste your money on.

Christina

Darlene Berkel asked:

The batteries for your golf cart are something you should consider carefully - remember that you will want your golf cart to last for the duration of the course, which could be quite a long walk. You do not want the batteries to run out before you have finished 18 holes, so you must make the choice carefully. The batteries for your golf cart are essentially the juice that keeps it moving, just like fuel for a car, and it is an important purchase if you want to enjoy your game.

What You Should Know About Batteries.

First of all you should know that the golf cart batteries are going to lose their charge quite easily even if they are just sitting in the golf cart in the off season. Because of this, you have to be sure that you are keeping your golf cart batteries charged up, even if that means coming in every few weeks to charge the batteries as they sit in your golf cart. This is important because the golf cart batteries will actually lose their ability to charge fully if you don’t charge them often. You have to charge them even when you aren’t using the golf cart.

Another important thing to remember is that it is important to keep your golf cart batteries clean. Under prolonged use, dirt and debris can quickly build up and damage the golf cart. Cleaning the batteries frequently will make sure that you can keep wear and tear down to a minimum level.

When you are buying golf cart batteries you need to pay close attention to the brand. There are simply some brands that are better than others, so you have to be sure that you have researched the different brands and that you know what is best for the place in which you live. There are some brands that are better for cold temperatures, and some brands that work well in extreme heat. You have to be sure that you are buying golf cart batteries that work well with the environment, because your golf cart is going to be used outside all of the time.

When you buy your golf cart batteries, make sure that they come with a warranty, so that you can be confident it will be replaced if it fails sooner than could be reasonably expected. Golf cart batteries are expensive, and the assurance of a warranty will give you peace of mind that you are getting a good, quality product for your money.

Tonya

J. Brian Keith asked:

The following article covers a topic that has recently moved to center stage–at least it seems that way. If you’ve been thinking you need to know more about it, here’s your opportunity.

The best time to learn about golf cart accessories is before you’re in the thick of things. Wise readers will keep reading to earn some valuable golf cart accessories experience while it’s still free.

Expert in-house golf car repairs can be found in only a few minutes with online directories. Any make or model of golf cars will have accessories and repair facilities available. Whether your golf car runs on electricity or with gasoline you will be able to easily gather information on how to repair it or where to have it repaired through online venues.

If shopping or searching online is not how you like to begin, local libraries and telephone directories or simply word of mouth are wonderful alternatives where results will be sound and solid. Reputable retail and repair facilities are more common than fly-by-night facilities. Online shopping provides secure means of purchasing items with credit cards. There are also ways in which online bank transfers are easily handles in a secure atmosphere. Obviously the means in which you shop is a personal preference.

If the large motorized golf cars are not your bag, there are manual golf push carts and pull carts that ease the labor of moving your golf clubs both to and from the course and from one hole to the next. With prices ranging from sixty dollars to one thousand dollars there are variations of the manual golf carts that are certain to meet the need of any golfer interested in this form of golf club transportation.

Golf cars come in every shape and style. There are name brands that are well known and some that are obscure but each one is backed with guarantees and warranties. There are even Rolls Royce and Jeep golf cars available to the golfer who apparently has everything. More than a utilitarian purpose golf cars such as these are used on estates for fast travel from the main house to destinations that are more comfortably achieved in the comfort of a custom golf car.

Necessities and accessories for your golf cars can be found in various places. There are repair facilities that offer in store viewing of many items. There are also websites available with detailed information. Discount parts stores are not uncommon and the user friendly formatting within most websites leave nothing to the imagination. Deluxe golf car covers, seat warmers, canopies, and air conditioners are among a few of the items found. You can decide if this items fall in to the category of necessity or accessory.

From cooler bags to batteries and beyond all your accessory needs will be met efficiently and effectively by established reputable golf car and golf cart stores. With many websites offering searches by serial numbers it makes your search for that one specific hubcap or fuse even simpler that it ever was before. There are websites that offer searches by state and then is narrowed down further to cities. Each city then has listing information about each place of business that deals with the sale and repair of golf cars. Knowing what a golf car shop offers as far as repairs, years in business and charges in advance is always an intelligent way to shop.

Now might be a good time to write down the main points covered above. The act of putting it down on paper will help you remember what’s important about golf cart accessories.

Neil

Jim Johnson asked:

Golf carts are very versatile vehicles that can be put to many uses both on the golf course and off. For those who like to play golf very often, owning their own golf cart can save them lots of money over the course of several years as opposed to renting a cart each time that they play. And for others, golf carts can be a more sensible means of transportation for short trips around a retirement community or a large parking lot where a larger vehicle would simply be impractical.
So what are some considerations that you should have in mind before buying your own golf cart? Well certainly, one of the first questions you should ask yourself is whether you can be comfortable with either a new or a used golf cart. You can expect to pay more for a new golf cart, but on the other hand you will have a full factory warranty and will be able to know how it is cared for and maintained from the very first day on.
If a used golf cart will do the job for you, you may be able to save quite a bit of money overall. You can either choose to buy from a local golf cart dealer in order to get some type of repair warranty on your purchase, or if you’re familiar with golf cart mechanics, you can save even more money by buying from a local individual party instead.
The cost of buying a new golf cart can run anywhere in the range of $5,000 - $10,000 or so. It all depends on what features and accessories you decide to install on the golf cart. And of course, the more add-ons that you install, the higher the price of the golf cart will be. If you’re extremely frugal and eliminate all but the bare essentials, you may even be able to buy a new golf cart for under $5,000 or so.
As far as used golf carts are concerned, price ranges can fluctuate widely depending on the model, accessories, and condition or shape that the golf cart is in. Many used golf carts can be bought for just a few thousand dollars that are still in very good condition. But if the used golf cart is more than just a year or two old, it may be a smart move on your part to have a reliable, trusted golf cart mechanic inspect the cart before you actually make your final decision.
Maintaining your golf cart is not a difficult task in general. Most brands of golf carts are fairly reliable vehicles. If you choose a gas golf cart, then you can expect to have to do some ongoing maintenance including changing the spark plugs and air filters, and making regular oil and oil filter changes as well. Performing these maintenance tasks on schedule will go a long way toward making sure that your golf cart lasts as long as possible.
An electric cart is somewhat easier to maintain in general, usually requiring you to have to check the water level in the batteries regularly to make sure that it is sufficient. However, every few years or so, the batteries will have to be replaced altogether at a cost of around $500 or so.
Actually, maintenance costs for both gas and electric golf carts tend to work out to pretty much the same in general over time. And if a regular maintenance schedule for new golf carts is adhered to, you may expect to enjoy up to 10 years of faithful service from your golf cart, or even more.
The tips and suggestions provided in this article should help you both buy and maintain a new or used golf cart that fits your needs.

Lynn

Golf Gift asked:

Golf bags are essential for carrying around all the things you need as you play golf. These would be your golf clubs, golf balls, tees, markers, towels and umbrellas.

Although they do not directly affect the result of your game, they could influence your attitude as you play, as golf bags offer you a lot of comfort and convenience as you go through the course.

Here are some types of golf bags.

1. Staff bags

Staff bags would be the largest kind of golf bags. A good staff bag would be made of leather or other durable and high quality materials and are usually a bit more expensive. They are able to contain all of your golf clubs, and still have a lot of pockets to hold other things and equipment that you wish to bring along as you go through the course.

Most professional golfers prefer to use the staff bag as they are able to hold the most equipment. They need not worry about lugging it around since they usually have their caddy to help them out with that.

2. Cart Bags

These bags are relatively smaller than staff bags but are bulkier and harder to carry around. Cart bags are designed to be transported in golf carts but have less pockets and less room for storage.

3. Carry Bags

These are the smallest of the golf bags, which are usually made from nylon, plastic or other light materials. They are constructed to contain the essentials like golf clubs, a couple of balls and small golf accessories. They are perfect for those golfers who prefer to carry their own bags.

When choosing the most suitable golf bag for you, you would need to consider the features that you need and your budget. It is not necessary to buy the most expensive bag available, as they do not directly affect the way you play, unlike your clubs, balls and golf shoes. You should carefully assess if the bag you are planning to buy has all the features that will suit your needs, while still being reasonably priced.

Jessica Deets asked:

Whether you buy the latest golf cart model at the highest price possible, or find one at a discount rate, it’s important to remember these are considered in many locations to be motorized vehicles. They can be dangerous if not operated properly and they will, in a lot of locations, be required to conform to the rules of the road that any car or truck driver must observe.
Golf carts have gained in popularity for a number of reasons. Perhaps the most obvious is the fact they tend to run on battery power rather than gasoline. With gas prices becoming ever more ridiculous, it’s no wonder these little vehicles are the preferred mode of getting around by those who can use them.
Being safe in a golf cart requires mostly common sense, but these rules, too, should be observed:
* Keep golf carts on designated paths or on roadways where they are allowed. Remember, some locations do allow carts on roadways, but some don’t. Know the local laws to avoid tickets. Whatever the case, do not operate them on sidewalks. It’s not safe for pedestrians or you.
* Whether you’re operating on a cart path or on a designated roadway where a golf cart’s use is permitted, remember to give pedestrians the right of way. Just like driving a car, those who are on foot get to go first.
* Don’t overload a cart with passengers. If a golf cart is rated for two people, don’t try to cram in four. Use common sense here to avoid unnecessary injury.
* Keep arms, legs, feet and so on in the cart at all times. This is just smart whether you’re in a car, golf cart or otherwise. Accidents can and do happen this way and there are generally no do overs in life.
* Heed speed limits. Golf cart paths might have their own limits, but when on the roadways in particular, do pay attention to the miles allowed. Carts don’t go fast, but depending on the terrain and the weight in the cart, it still may be possible to speed.
* Treat a cart like a car when driving. This means look out for pedestrians and other obstructions when backing up and going forward, paying attention to stop signs and other such regulations. A cart doesn’t go very fast, but it can still cause injury and even death. Follow all basic safety procedures and driving laws for a regular car, and you should be on the right track to safety.
Golf carts are a great way to get people from one point to another without having to pay $3 or more per gallon. But, they can be dangerous. When operating them, it’s important to observe the rules of the road and sprinkle this heavily with common sense. They may be cute and they may be little, but a golf cart in the wrong hands can still be dangerous. These machines are not built for speed and they’re not built for abuse, but if treated carefully, they do serve their purpose and do it well.

Max Johnson asked:

Is it time to replace your golf cart bag? Depending how much you play, the golf cart bag is a very important piece of golf equipment. The reasons are simple. Obviously, it is very important because it assists you with the storage and transportation of your golf clubs as well as other golf equipment.

With the size of a golf cart bag, you can easily carry your clubs, tees, markers as well as other things you will need during your round of golf. The bag itself does not necessarily have a direct correlation to your score however, it can allow you to carry items that could make your round of golf more comfortable and more enjoyable for you.

The basic golf bag comes in three sizes. The first is a staff golf bag or tour golf bag. Obviously, this name comes from the professionals that are on staff with a certain company to promote the company’s products. The second is the golf cart bag. These bags are typically not quite as large as a staff or tour bag and are meant to be placed on the rear of a golf cart. These golf bags are not meant to be carried by the average player during their round of golf.

A golf stand carry bag can be used on the back of a golf cart as well as carried by the player during the round. These bags are typically about 4 pounds in weight prior to adding your golf equipment. Depending on the golf you usually play, any one of these styles can suit your needs.

In determining the kind of golf bag will best suit you and the type of golf that you play, you need to first decide if you walk or ride most of your rounds of golf. If you walk the majority of your rounds, you will need a golf stand carry bag. You may choose to also have a cart golf bag for trips or special occasions. In addition, you will need to think about your typical golf club and how your golf clubs are normally transported about the club.

Do you have to personally carry them quite a bit or is the staff able to assist you with your bag? I think that you get the drift, the more that you carry your own clubs the more you need a golf stand carry bag.

The golf stand carry bag is a smaller bag designed for those who are prone to walk the golf course or have to transport their own clubs around the club. These lightweight golf bags are designed for the players comfort as they are carried by the player. Although these bags are light weight they can hold a full set of golf clubs (fourteen), golf balls, range finder GPS unit, tees, umbrella as well as a rain suit. These bags typically have room for a pair of golf shoes for when you travel.

The staff/tour bag is the largest selection of golf bags which is available, they are much larger that the travel/carry bag or the cart golf bag. You see the professional golfers on TV use these golf bags. However, they do not personally carry them due to their weight. They travel with caddies to help them instead. The amount of equipment that these golfers can carry is as much as they would like and an average PGA Tour Bag is 40-45 lbs with all the equipment in it. The price for the staff tour bags is substantially higher than that of the cart golf bag or the travel/carry bag.

The golf cart bag is a smaller version of the tour bag. Again, these bags are deigned to ride on the back of a golf cart. The pockets are typically designed for easy access as the bag sits on a golf cart.

Determine your golfing habits and with this information make an informed decision on which bag would best suit you and allow you to enjoy the great game of golf.

Eddie
