How long do your 6 volt golf cart batteries last before you have to recharge them?
How weak do you let them run down before you recharge them?

nt to have an easier time walking around the golf course, but do not have the need for a motorised golf cart, then you may want to look into buying an electric golf cart and/or golf trolley. These carriers are more than just a place to stick your clubs, they can make it simpler and less tiring to play your eighteen holes on Sunday afternoon.

Features

The features that you want in a push trolley or electric cart will depend on which type you buy, but with both types you want to look for a smooth design and airless tires. The motor on your electric cart should be quiet and efficient, and be able to move around the course easily, even if there are steep hills or rocky areas.

You will also want to remember to protect your investment, and choose the longest warranty that is offered by the shop you buy your cart from, if you choose the electric variety. Since the cart will need some regular minor maintenance, now is maybe the right time to buy yourself a tool set made specifically for the cart. Since the cost of these electric carts can runs around $300 and upwards, it is a good idea to make sure that they get the maintenance that they need on time.

Accessories

You will also want to make sure that you get some basic accessories. While the electric version may come with a battery charger, which you will need on a regular basis, you may also want to consider buying an extra set of batteries at the time of purchase, so that you always have a battery fully charged and ready to go.

Heres a cost reducing tip. When I purchased my electric cart, I also purchased an extra set of batteries, a very small wind turbine and a small solar panel, plus the converter and bits and pieces. The wind turbine and solar panel I installed on my garage roof, and they now provide all the free power to recharge the batteries.

You may also want to buy a rain protection cover for your new cart and bag, especially if you play golf in poor weather conditions. The rain cover can protect your golf clubs, your golf bag and personal belongings in it, and your new cart, from any possible water damage.

Value

If you are concerned about the cost of the new cart/trolley/bag, then you may want to stop and consider all of the benefits that you will be getting. First, you will not have to deal with the strain of carrying your golf clubs on your shoulders all day. This will help you play better throughout your round, especially when you are a seasonal or occasional player.

Second, you will be able to carry all of your favorite clubs, and all the golf gear you want, without worrying about the weight of your bag slowing you down and holding up the game. The push version of the caddy does require more effort than the electric version, but will still cut down on your strain significantly.

Buying

If you have NOT done your homework, and go out to buy a new electric cart or golf trolley or golf bag, without having a reasonable idea of what you are looking for, then you will get ripped off. Just doing a little bit of research, could save you an awful lot of money. And you know that makes sense.

Can you think of any mortals who would benefit from the money being spent by Obama on “green” golf carts?

Personally, I would like fee solar panels for my home, or a windmill.

Selecting the right golf bag for your equipment, clubs and accessories is very important. Once you have selected the right golf bag for you and your game, you will have more time to focus and concentrate on your game and having fun. You can find a golf bag that is right for you in sporting goods stores as well as online golf shops. Below are some of the differences between the different types of golf bags available.

Golf stand bags are designed to carry during your round of golf. In turn, they are made of lightweight material and have an automatic stands or legs. The stands or legs will release or kick out when set on the ground. This type of a carry bag is much easier to use than a sunday bag. You just set the bag down to the right at your ball and start the process to select your golf club. Golf stand bags are a must for any golfer who walks to enjoy their round.

Golf stand bags have evolved to become highly lightweight, practical, and comfortable to carry. Golf stand bags come in many designs and styles, with premium golf stand bags offering more pockets, functionality and durability than previous carry bags. Before you decide which bag to purchase, try on the bag with equipment in it to make sure it is comfortable for you. Go ahead and adjust the straps as you need them to get a good feel for what the action of the bag will be when walking on the golf course.

Many of these bags have pockets that are placed high on the bag that will hold a water bottle or a cell phone conveniently. Other pockets can be used to keep your rain gear, snacks, medicine, towels, umbrellas or extra clothing. Pockets with lockable zips are essential to hold your wallet and other valuables such as watches and jewelry.

Golf cart bags have a heavier more durable body construction and are designed specifically to ride on a golf cart during a round. Golf cart bags are great for the golfer who prefers to use a golf cart during their round. Golf cart bags are larger golf bags with more compartments for various golf related equipment. Golf cart bags are made of different materials such as leather and nylon. Obviously the leather bag will need more care than the nylon bag to keep it in great looking shape. Some golf cart bags even have separated cylinders for each club. This protects each golf club as well as makes pulling a golf club out of the bag very easy.

Womens golf stand bags are an extremely popular choice thanks to their lightweight and comfortable carrying options. As the name suggests, this type of golf bag is equipped with a stand which folds out to support the bag when you rest it on the ground. Many of these bags can be as light as 2.5 to 3.5 pounds before loaded your golf equipment into the bag.

Paul Hata asked:

There is no limit to the number of accessories that you can buy for golfing. You could spend thousands of dollars on small items that will hardly ever come in handy. However, you may not have had the idea of skipping all of those small accessories. Why not save your money for an extremely handy golf accessory that will continue to be useful throughout the whole game?

A custom golf cart satisfies these requirements, and is arguably one of the best golf accessories that money can buy. It may not seem practical, but if you read on you will find out about the many ways that you can accomplish this, and how it can come in handy when you are hitting the golf course.

Golf carts are almost necessary for some of the bigger golf courses. If you are going to be hitting a huge golf course anytime soon, you will almost certainly need a golf cart in order to get from one course to the other while carrying all of your gear with you. You can rent golf carts from almost any golf course, but why rent when you can have your own for a cheaper rate in the long run?

It is preferable because it allows you to buy a cart that has exactly what you want, and allows you to customize it in the future. The choices for custom golf carts far exceed those for the ones that you can rent, and you can get quite a luxurious setup going on.

The size of the golf cart can vary greatly. It is possible to buy one that is almost like an oversized go-kart. It will only hold you and your clubs, but it will be inexpensive and very efficient with gas. However, if you play golf socially then you will probably want to invest in a golf cart that seats 2 or even 4 people along with their gear.

The power of the cart is also important. If the cart is fully loaded down and traveling along at a steady rate, will you immediately start to backslide when you start heading up a hill? This is very important to consider, especially with the hilly nature of golf courses. With most golf cart manufacturers you will not have much to worry about, especially if you stick with brands that are more well-known.

With your own golf cart, you can begin to make the ride more enjoyable, much the same way you would with a regular car. You can install a stereo system if you want to enjoy some tunes in between courses. If you are good with electronics like that, you could install a regular car stereo system in the golf cart without too much trouble.

Just imagine being the only one on the golf course who is able to crank out music as loud as a rock concert. Sounds tempting, doesn’t it? You can deck out your golf cart with as many features as you could imagine, whether your goal is to make the ride more enjoyable, more efficient, or simply quicker. It can make a great ongoing project to add onto at later dates.

If you are interested in putting together a custom golf cart, you can either do it yourself if you are the engineering type, or you can contact a golf cart manufacturer. There are several companies that sell golf carts to individuals, and if you can get one as close as possible to what you want then it will be very possible to add features in the future.

Make sure you are very clear on the cost and the methods of delivery when you begin to order your golf cart, so that you aren’t hit with any nasty surprise bills that you weren’t expecting. It’s definitely a big project to undertake, but if you have the time and money to do it then you will surely have a good time.
